Ian,
Is there any chance you could supply a spell checker facility so that I may remain at my pedantic best?

Welcome along, mate!

I don't believe a spellchecker is included in the next release of this message board, but if a hack becomes available, we'll add it on. We're all in the same boat, so to all spelling pedants... please go easy on us. Smile

Nick,

Just checked, there is a hack (add-on) spellchecker available! I'll let you know when it's installed. Smile

Ian, You didn't think it was for me did you?

It was my pleasure to give you and your site a blatant plug. Once again you were forced to endure a piece of my drunken telephonic spontaneity. Hopefully not so slurred this time.

God forbid, no! Smile

To be honest, it's hard to tell mate... never heard you sober. You sounded 'normal' Smile... quite a longish call actually... I'm gonna add it to the start of "Hate Mail", seeing as how Charlie explained the reasons for having that section... with your permission, of course.

No problem sir. But please do not group me with the dyslexic Nazis.

Normal - What is that?

Errm, do you mean you don't want the clip on the same page as the emails? I can always put it on the "WARNING:" page, if you'd prefer. It would take the form of "To hear Charlie's reasons for having this section, click here."

Well, it sounded like you were more sober than when you called Ian Collins... put it that way. Smile Which reminds me, have you got your audio sorted out yet?

Clarkey, please feel free to post my call wherever you consider appropriate. Your suggestion of putting it on the warning page does sound more appealing though.
I was only joking about the possibility of being roped in with the dyslexic Nazis.

With regards to the audio situation, I am at the moment sifting through the numerous recommendations as to which computer to buy. Until then I can only rely on people like your good self to give brief explanations of these audio nosegays.

How do you put the emoticon thingies into a posting ? Is it like clipart{?????} that we get on VOTCM or is there another way? Also is there a list of the ones available?

Regards
Nick

Oki-doke, mate. I'll put it on the warning page.

Smilies? If you go to the very top right of this page, and click on "FAQ" then click on "Can I use smilies?"... all will be revealed. Smile

Clarkey, I have today got a new computer at work so I thought I would try to download Real Player and see if it works on this one. Well I went to your Odds and Sods section and followed the instructions but I could not find Real Player 8 Basic. Has the site been updated and I should be looking for something else ? Please email me with the instructions. Cheers Mate

Nick

Oops! That site has changed quite a bit since my last visit. Smile

On the first page of http://www.real.com click on the "Real Player" tab (near the top). Halfway down the next page, on a grey bar, you'll see a link to "RealPlayer 8 Basic". Click on it. On the next page, you'll be asked to fill out a small form, before finally clicking on the "Download FREE RealPlayer 8 Basic" button. Et voila. Smile
