We want more audio! More Audio! MORE AUDIO!
Well I do, anyway,
Shows are not enough! We want weird plain silly pieces of audio! Like the Donald duck goes pornographic one (if URLs are allowed, from http://www.funnymail.com)

How about this? One of the original Talk Radio UK Test Transmissions (first heard on the 5th February, and broadcast until the 7th February 1995).
Test Transmission #1
--------------------
Introductions by Dr David Starkey, Caesar the Geezer, Wild Al Kelly & Mad Mike Hanson, Gary Jacobs, Terry Christian, Jeremy Beadle, Samantha Meah & Sean Bolger, Vanessa Feltz, Anna Raeburn, Nancy Roberts, Tommy Boyd, and then back to Dr David Starkey again (just to prove the whole transmission is here ).

Anyway, any chance of the Welcome to TalkSPORT Transmission, you know, from Midnight that time on TR, going into TS? with all the fireworks?

I Did before, while I was listening to the half hour test transmission.
When it stopped I listened to the TalkSPORT intro one I think that's what it was called, is that what you meant?

I've got this. It was 16.1.00. James Whale was on air at the time, but as for fireworks?? Well, I don't remember anything particularly spectacular about the broadcast.

Can i just say that i'd have just uploaded from the point of Ash trying to refresh Whale's memory about what he wanted to say..
"Was it Cars?"
From there one Whale talks about the new Car Guys show.. which I never heard a second thought about, but you know, that's media development for you..
Obviously they thought Mike Dickin was more worthy of airtime!
Ahh, right, time for a shameless plug!

Yooooouu Love Mike's Dickin!! |

If its a hwakbee an djacobs clip you are after I tape every one of their shows and usually keep the shows for 3 or 4 days after.
Also instead of uploading whole shows I think it would be preferable to get the highlights from the shows. I know it would mean more work but downloading an hours worth of Wolf does not appeal to me...one call however could be tolerated!

Yeah - whole James H Reeve Shows are great. Charlie, however can not match his consistent quality
Also Ian, how about getting a picture of Robin on this site. He's as much a part of the show as Charlie and besides I've just had my dart board stolen |

James had an excellent show, no denying it.... but he has been doing phone-ins for 20 odd years. Charlie's been doing it for a just over a year.
What I like about Charlie's show is the honest, straight forward approach and unique State-side perspective. He's also totally open to ideas, and craves feedback. I wouldn't have the motivation to do a dedicated tribute site to any other presenter... they just don't seem to care about listeners the way Charlie does.
As for photos of Robin... rest assured, if I'm given any (with his permission), I put them up. |
