Ok... So 24 hours became about 10 days, and I still haven't got all the sites back...oops.
Unfortunately, we were hacked, using the "root-exploit telnet hack" that was posted on bugtraq by some script kiddie.
However, to be sure things are ok, and no trojans have been put on, I had to first do a complete reinstall, and then check every single customised program line by line before allowing it back on, and its taking bloody ages.
Also, the day we took it down, it was discovered that we were missing a cable needed to upgrade, so that took another day. Then, this nicely coincided with illness that has delayed me somewhat too.
Also, its bloody boring. - I haven't been able to commit all my free time to the upgrade because its been boring me to tears!
Ho hum.
