Hi Clarkey, great site. I especially like the way you archive the shows. It means if I fall asleep at 4 a.m. I can play catch-up the next day.

Anyway, I'd like to make a suggestion, if i may. How about putting the news bulliten at the end of each hour rather than at the beginning? It would mean each hour would start at :07 (approx) rather than at :00. This means as soon as we click onto a specific hour, it'll go straight to the discussion.

I always fast forward through the news bullitens as they are out-of-date as soon as they're broadcast. Charlie's opinions aren't!

Also, currently on the front page it seems like the audio section was last updated on the 14th.

Thanks again,
Ajman

The "approx" you use is the key. I'm sure ideally the news would be removed alltogether, but all the archives are done automatically, so the problem is knowing exactly when to start.

Yeah, if the news is always AT LEAST 5 minutes long, you could start (say) at 5 past the hour, but I'm assuming that without having a decent edit point, clarkey just chooses the "constant" of starting on the hour.

Fair point, Ajman.

But like Jamie says, these recordings are automated, and starting them on the hour is more logical than hoping to guess when Charlie re-starts after the news. talkSPORT are generally more reliable with the their timings thsn redfm, but keeping the consistency of a regular start time hopefully means that you know what to expect.

Moving the position on by 4 minutes for each hour is generally about right. Glad to hear you're finding it useful. Smile

As for the "updated" bit on the audio buttons, I'll correct that today/tomorrow..
