Ian asked me to install an avatar function so everyone could upload one...

After thinking about it, and visiting a site with such a facility, I thought it was a BAD idea.. Loads of stupid pointless graphics on every topic, adding to the load time (different graphics per poster)

I told Ian this in my usual polite way (sod off Ian, or add it yourself)

The thing is, as you've noticed, they CAN be added by the administrator, so "avatars" can still be added for frequent posters, but we can make sure the images are not too huge. Also, it stops less casual posters adding pictures unnecessarily.. I think this is the best solution.

Anyway, all you need to do is email Ian your piccies, and tell him which username you want it attached too etc...
