First it was Charlie Wolf then James Whale and now Mike Mendoza has been dropped from talkSport. I was shocked when i read the news about Mike. I will miss hearing him on the station. In a statement to another website this is what he said about his departure from talkSport.

From www.talkSport1089.co.uk

Quote:
Speaking to this website, Mendoza said that he fully enjoyed his time at talkSPORT and will look back on it with a great deal of fondness: “I’ve loved my four-years at talkSPORT and feel quite sad about my departure especially in the face of the recent RAJAR figures that show me as the number one at night on commercial radio. Plus, my figures are the highest I’ve achieved in over twelve-months thanks to extremely loyal listeners.

“In fact, I’ve been inundated with calls and text from colleges from the station since finding out about the decision to drop me from the schedules but I hope to be heard on-air again soon. I’ve also received messages from other radio stations asking me to pop in for a chat and details will be made available on my website when a decision is made. Watch this space.”

If Mike's show was the number one at night on commercial radio with the highest listening figures, i wonder why he is suddenly been pushed from the station?

This Moz Dee character is intent on taking the station in a more left-leaning direction when it comes to the general talk portion of the station. He's probably following the directions that UTV placed upon him. First, it was Charlie, then Whale, and now Mendoza. Dickin would have been gone too had he still been alive. Ian Collins is probably next.

I've never listened to Gaunt, but he sounds like a jerk. As for Galloway......I won't listen to an effeminate radical left-wing lunatic.

Now that I think about it, I have not listened to TalkSport in about 4 months, maybe longer. Nothing worth listening to on that station anymore.

It's too bad LBC does not pick up Whale, Wolf and Mendoza. But then again, LBC prides themselves on their bland programming.

How did Whale sound when he sat in for Clive Bull? And.....what is the fascination with Clive Bull? Listened a few times and found the show very boring.

Oh well......I still have American radio! Grandy & Andy (WMAL), Chris Plante (WMAL), Howie Chizek (WNIR), Stan Piatt (WNIR), Austin Hill (WMAL), Rush Limbaugh (WGST/Nationwide), Sean Hannity (WABC/Nationwide), Neal Boortz (WSB), Mark Levin (WMAL/Nationwide), Don Wade & Roma (WLS), Roe Conn (WLS), Al Rantel (KABC), Sam Memmolo (WGKA), The Motorman (KABC).

Firebird, James Whale hasn't filled-in for Clive Bull on LBC yet. If you want to hear James he'll be presenting six live phone-in shows on the station starting on 17th August from 10pm-1am (UK time). As for Clive Bull i don't know what the fascination is with him. I've never listened to his show.

Well.....I gave James a listen and he actually sounded refreshing on LBC. I quit listening to him on TalkSport over 2 years ago because of his increasing anti-American rhetoric. Angry / Fuming

An evening block of James, Charlie and maybe Tommy Boyd would be interesting to hear on LBC. It probably won't happen as LBC seems to take a safe, yet extremely boring approach, to talk radio. Good or Bad ? Very Happy

Clive Bull - the cure for insomnia! Eek ! Rolling Eyes
